Common Crane Track Accessories
Most of the train track accessories are components of railway lines, including rails, sleepers, connecting parts, fishplates, backing plates and casings, etc. As an integral engineering structure, the track is laid on the roadbed, plays a guiding role in train operation, and directly bears the huge pressure of rolling stock and its load. Under the power of train operation, its various components must have sufficient strength and stability to ensure that the train runs safely, smoothly and without interruption at the specified maximum speed.
The most common driving track accessories we use daily are the following:
Track clamp
Track platen is also called driving platen, crane platen, track platen, crane platen and so on. The platen is prepared by impregnating the substrate with a solution containing alkoxysilane derivatives and/or their condensates, impregnating a heat-curable resin containing a halogen-free flame retardant, heating and drying to obtain a prepreg billet, overlapping several pieces of the prepreg billet, placing copper foil on one or both sides as required, and heating and pressurizing the lamination.
Rail clip is a fitting used to hold down a rail with a steel I-beam or concrete beam or floor.
Track pressure plates can be divided into:
GDGL platen is also called 514 double-hole platen (platen for I-beam);
DGL pressure plate is also called long hole casting pressure plate (concrete beam and concrete floor pressure plate);
The model of GDGL clamping plate can be divided into GDGL-1 (38kg rail) -GDGL-7 (120kg rail);
DGL platen models can be divided into 6a-1 (24kg rail) – 6a-7, (120kg rail).
The track clamping plate is generally used with hexagon bolts or embedded bolts.
Track gusset
The rail gusset plate is the middle connecting part of the rail. Its role is to effectively ensure the reliable connection between the rail and the rail and the rail and the sleeper for a long time, and to maintain the continuity and integrity of the rail as far as possible. Prevent the longitudinal movement of the rail relative to the sleeper to ensure that the gauge is normal. Under the dynamic action of locomotive and rolling stock, the damping performance is fully brought into play, and the accumulation of residual deformation of the line is slowed down. Different sleeper types use different rail gusset plates. The gusset plate is used to hold the rail, if the rail loosens, the train may be overturned while running, resulting in a major accident.
Its main models are 0-2, 4-6, 8-10, 12-14, 16-18, 20-22, 24-26 type middle buckle and joint buckle, etc., the most common model is 8-10 type (railway fastener outline size is 60*100*30mm; The weight is 0.73kg; The material is QT450-10; The aperture is 28*33mm; The implementation standard is TB564-92; The hole shape is oval and the applicable rail type is 50KG.)
The track fastenings are made of QT450-10 black core malleable iron, which has good cutting performance, better than gray cast iron and free cutting steel, better corrosion resistance than pearlite malleable cast iron, better heat resistance than gray cast iron and carbon steel, better oxidation resistance than gray cast iron, and better vibration damping than ductile cast iron and cast steel.
Steel rail
Steel rail is the main component of railway track. Its function is to guide the wheels of the rolling stock forward, withstand the huge pressure of the wheels, and transfer to the sleeper. The rail must provide a continuous, smooth, and least resistant rolling surface for the wheel.
In electrified railway or automatic block section, the rail can also be used as a track circuit. The rail is made of carbon killed steel smelted by open hearth and oxygen converter. Its purpose is to withstand the operating pressure and impact load of rolling stock.
The rail with three holes at one end is fitted with a cleat, and the light rail with two holes at one end.
Rail spike
The most commonly used is the spiral spike, which is a part of the connection between the rail and the concrete pillow. The lower part of the nail rod is threaded, and the upper part is a bolt.
The nail rod is fixed in the reserved hole of the concrete sleeper by sulfur anchoring, and the upper bolt is used to fix the clamping parts (such as clamping plates and elastic strips).
Rail splint
The track splint, also known as the fishtail plate, track connecting plate, etc., is a connection fastener used for the connection between the rail and the rail. Divided into light rail, heavy rail and lifting rail.
Fishtail silk
Fishtail wire is also called fishtail bolt (egg neck bolt). Used in track joint splint (fishplate) connection and groove pipe fittings, plays a fixed role. Fishtail bolts can sometimes be replaced with hexagonal bolts.
Fishtail bolts are mainly used in metallurgical industry, coking industry, iron and steel industry track laying, rail and rail joint connection fastening
Gauge damper
The gauge baffle is used to adjust the gauge and transfer the transverse horizontal thrust of the rail.
The baffle seat is used to support the baffle plate, and the back bevel is supported on the shoulder of the sleeper block, which requires the baffle seat to have a certain strength to withstand and transfer the horizontal force, and has sufficient insulation performance to prevent leakage.
The thickness of the two bevels of the baffle seat is different, which can be exchanged and can also play the role of adjusting the gauge.
