Before the replacement, the strict implementation of safety measures, in the crane around the cordoned off area, strictly prohibit the intrusion of unrelated personnel.When dismantling the old wheel set, according to the structure of the equipment, remove the connecting bolts of the coupling at the end of the wheel axle, remove the fastening bolts connecting the angular bearing box of the wheel set and the end beams, and then use lifting screws or jacks to lift the crane bridge, so that the wheel treads about 10 mm from the top surface of the track, and then use prying tools such as crowbars to pry the wheel set, and then pull it along the surface of the track in order to replace it.
If the wheel is stuck due to long-term stress or corrosion, do not dismantle it violently to prevent damage to the crane bridge or other related parts.Rust remover and lubricant can be moderately used to assist in loosening, and with the help of professional jacking tools, the old wheels can be moved out smoothly.
When installing a new wheelset, clean the mounting contact surface between the wheels and the bridge to ensure that there are no impurities, oil residues and a tight fit.
Lift the pre-assembled new wheelset onto the crane track, push in the wheelset close to the mounting position, adjust the jacks so that the car body descends slowly, thread in the fastening bolts and tighten them appropriately to ensure that the wheelset is stable. Special attention should also be paid to the fact that the gear couplings at both ends of the active wheels and the driven shaft end of the reducer need to be replaced at the same time in order to ensure that the crane operates normally.
After the new wheel installation is completed, you also need to check whether the fasteners are tightened, whether the wheel is horizontal and vertical deflection, found problems, timely adjustment, to ensure that the crane can operate normally.
