Casting temperature selection of cast steel pulley
The casting temperature of the cast steel pulley should be selected according to the wall thickness of the cast steel pulley, the area, the material of the cast mold, the material of the pulley, the processing depth of the pulley, the shape of the pulley and various casting processes. The greater the wall thickness of the cast steel pulley, the smaller the area, the lower the casting temperature, the higher the refractance of the cast profile, the higher the casting temperature, the higher the casting temperature of the cast steel pulley, the greater the processing depth, the higher the casting temperature. High temperature casting is beneficial to machining but has influence on metallographic composition. The design of high temperature casting and large pouring riser can control the shrinkage hole inside the cast steel pulley.
Due to the low content of silicon (Si), manganese (Mn), phosphorus (P) and sulfur (S) in carbon steel, the melting point calculation (simple) formula of carbon steel is: TL=1536-78×(C%)
It can be concluded that the higher the carbon content (C%), the lower the melting point.
The higher the carbon content, the lower the pouring temperature; The lower the carbon content, the higher the pouring temperature.
The melting point calculation formula of alloy steel and stainless steel is very complicated, the relationship between the total melting point temperature and carbon content, the lower the carbon content, the higher the melting point temperature.

Precautions for casting steel pulley
(1) the temperature of molten steel is not enough to pour
(2) The grade of molten steel is not correct
(3) do not block slag do not pour;
(4) the sand box does not pour;
(5) Do not put outside gate do not pour;
(6) the molten steel is not enough to pour;
(7) When casting, it should be accurate and stable, and it is not allowed to pour molten steel into the sand box from the riser and see molten steel;
(8) When the molten steel is poured into the sand mold, the exhaust gas discharged from the steam hole, riser, and box seam should be ignited at any time to avoid gas and molten steel splashing.
(9) The remaining molten steel should be poured into the prepared iron mold or sand pit, and should not be poured on the sand pile and the ground to prevent the explosion of molten steel. The molten steel flowing on the ground due to running fire or other reasons shall not be covered with sand before solidification, and should be timely after solidification;
(10) All equipment should be checked for safety and reliability before use, and cleaned up after use.
