The design and manufacture of the kiln car depends not only on the structure of the kiln itself and the materials selected, but also on the quality, output, heat consumption, pressure balance in the kiln and the life of the kiln car itself. Therefore, paying attention to the structural design and manufacturing of the kiln car plays an extremely important role in ensuring the normal operation of the kiln.
The wheel set is composed of wheels, axles and bearings. Wheels are divided into three types according to their tread shapes: no flange wheels, single flange wheels and double flange wheels. Because the kiln car is a rail car, it is required to walk along the track without deviation, so single flange wheels should be installed on both sides of the car or no flange wheels should be installed on one side of the car, and double flange wheels should be installed on the other side, utilize the restriction of the flange, so that the wheel does not run out of the track. The material of the wheel is generally cast steel or nodular cast iron. In order to increase the hardness of the tread, it is best to use the cold casting process.
The axle has two kinds of whole shaft and half shaft, the half shaft saves steel and is easy to process, but the processing and assembly are difficult to ensure the coaxiality and parallelism of the two wheels, which affects the normal operation of the kiln car, and has been used less in the design, and the whole shaft is used more.
Kiln car bearings usually use deep groove ball bearings. Due to the high working temperature, the bearing should have a large radial clearance, the radial clearance should generally be more than 0.2㎜, if the clearance is small, the bearing may be stuck and cannot rotate. The other kind of bearing is tapered roller bearing, which has strong structure, large bearing capacity, good wear resistance, bearing clearance can be adjusted according to needs, and has gradually been widely used. The running speed of the kiln car bearing is very low, and the bearing specifications can be determined according to the static load. Kiln car bearings work at relatively high temperatures, poor lubrication conditions, commonly used lubricants are colloidal graphite grease, molybdenum disulfide grease and bentonite lubricant, only in the kiln car temperature is relatively low (below 120℃) in the case of oil and calcium grease lubrication. Proper increase of bearing clearance and strict use of lubricant are important conditions to ensure the flexible operation of kiln car.
Common kiln wheels have two kinds of casting and forging, from the specifications of 300, 320, 360 and so on. The structure is divided into: half restraint wheel, full restraint wheel, unrestrained wheel (no flange wheel, single flange wheel and double flange wheel).
