Crane Hook Classification–C -Coil Hook
Crane hooks are very critical components of lifting machinery and are usually classified according to the materials used, manufacturing process, purpose and other related factors. Different types of crane hooks may have different shapes, production processes, operating methods or other characteristics. Different types of crane hooks can usually meet different usage requirements, rated loads, sizes and category requirements.
The C-type hook is used for horizontal lifting of steel coils. First of all, its appearance resembles the letter C, so it is called the crane C hook. It is mainly used in steel mills, cold-rolled plate production and processing enterprises, storage and transportation warehouses and other workplaces where horizontal steel coils are used.
The structure of the crane C-type hook is mainly composed of lifting concrete and counterweight iron. The main part is made of alloy steel and steel pipe, and the cross section is a box-shaped structure. The function of the counterweight iron is to adjust the balance of the main shaft so that the center of gravity of the main shaft and the hanging object are on the same line. The crane C-type hook is reinforced with high-density reinforcement plates, embedded with reinforced lifting ears, and the finished lifting equipment is multi-layered rust-proof and CNC-cut to precise dimensions.
1. Heavy-duty C-type hook (box beam)
This C-type hook is mainly composed of a sling and a counterweight. Its cross-section is a box-shaped structure. The counterweight plays the role of adjusting the balance of the sling so that the center of gravity of the sling and the object being hoisted are in line.
The guide handle makes the C-type coil hook easy to operate. The tapered lower load arm can easily contact the coil and minimize coil damage.
2. Single coil C-type hook
This C-type hook is mainly composed of a sling and a counterweight. Its cross-section is a single plate structure. The counterweight plays the role of adjusting the balance of the sling so that the center of gravity of the sling and the object being lifted are in line.
The guide handle makes the C-type steel coil lifting hook easy to operate. The tapered lower load arm can easily contact the steel coil and reduce steel coil damage. The fillet radius can reduce stress concentration in critical areas without interfering with the object being lifted.
3. Narrow coil C-type hook
This single coil C-type hook has no counterweight and is mainly used for horizontal lifting of small-tonnage coils. The load range is 1-3 tons. The lifting is light and flexible. A guide handle is installed on the rear side to facilitate control of the direction of travel. The design drawings can be designed according to user requirements to meet the use requirements of different working conditions.
4. Double roller lifting C-type hook
This double coil fork C-type hook consists of a lifting body and a counterweight iron, suitable for horizontal lifting of double steel coils and wires.
5. C-type hook for container loading and unloading
Lifting C-type hook is used for container loading of long steel pipes, steel tubes and slabs. It has strong load-bearing capacity, high stability, saves time and effort, and greatly improves work efficiency.
Daily maintenance of C-type hooks
Used C-type hooks must be placed on a special rack and stored in a ventilated, dry and clean workshop, and a dedicated person is responsible for maintenance and care.
The surface of the C-type hook should be regularly rust-proofed and should not be stored in an environment with acid, alkali, salt, chemical gas or humidity.
C-type hooks must not be stored in high temperature areas.
Clean and lubricate moving parts regularly to prevent dry friction and jamming.
Customisation support: Crane C-hooks are available for lifting 5 tonnes, 10 tonnes, 15 tonnes, 20 tonnes, 25 tonnes, 30 tonnes, 35 tonnes and 40 tonnes. They can be customised to meet specific customer requirements for load configuration, weight, lifting area and clearance. Required parameters include: type of item to be lifted, weight, dimensions and operating conditions.
